Hmm. I'm not sure I understand the video?
Damn it feels good to be an E-gangsta.
06-06-2010, the day Vtec850 didn't show me how gansta he was at the track.

Subie got a small turbo because it's hating life in 4th and 5th.
I'm guessing there both relatively stockish minus bolt ons.
I vote the STi should give me his Mature diffuser. Good vid either way.
Should of ran from a dig....AWD < LSx from a roll in most cases.

Yeah I dunno why? In like Daytona, Tampa, J-Ville, they all run from a dig (minus the Supra guys).
I've never raced from a roll until i came here. (hence my stupid expensive tranny ROFL)
Rolls are for dinner....
You asked someone in the DC area to run from a roll they will laugh at you. They even carry track prep sprayers with them. It's pretty funny. (well before some kid mowed down 15 people with his car with no lights on)
It's the big big turbo guys that usually do rolls because they run 13s in the quarter at 130mph. lol

or a 20-100 roll to where drivetrain loss is kind of minute and the V8 has some sort of traction.

I always prefer digs to a roll race but I'll do either or. Usually it's whatever the other guy wants. I'm not picky lol

Something aint right with that. That is essentially how my LSx is built, and I walk off pretty bad on Stage 2 STi's. That SS with those modifications should hang right with my car, especially with 4.30's. Something isn't adding up in that vid.
Just saying.

Well on second watching of that vid, it still seems to be stock turbo. STi's are pig slow from a roll and decent modding to get into 12s. Also that EWG is instantaneously open when he brake-boost. That's what made me thing he was stock turbo to begin with.
My suspicion is what they forget to tell is that he is running a lot of meth. He is not falling of on the top end as much as he should = meth and 24+psi with a stocker. We ran 24psi on pump in a WRX with a VF39 and small bolt ons and it broke 12s and ran a 8.0 in the 1/8.
Merle walked it in 4th like it was standing still though. lol
Big OE turbo > Small OE turbo

(yes EVO guys that like 24psi for that turbo is like 35psi to a IX turbo)

Oh he blew up the VF39...he has a VF23 now. I think it's not smaller it has a more efficient compressor, but same size housing. :/
Meth goes on this weekend. It's not going to make a huge different in that car. I say run him pre and after cams. Get an idea of your gains. I say you still walk him in 4th even you now and him on meth.
He just doesn't have the turbo to keep up after 70 or so. I could let him borrow the FPred.
